The European Police Chiefs Task Force (EPCTF) is a forum consisting of the highest representatives of police organisations from the EU Member States. The task force meetings are attended by Member States' police chiefs as heads of delegations, and as such, the task force represents the highest level of decision-making, where strategic decisions on the future of police organisations in the EU Member States are taken. The task force discusses challenges and difficulties faced by police forces in the EU and attempts to find adequate solutions.

Participants will, among others, discuss topics such as facilitating the debate on new technologies and their significance for police units, the issue of control of communications and interoperability of police systems, good practices manual as regards international police cooperation services at the national level, counter-terrorist activities of the task force and cooperation with third countries in the field of justice and home affairs.
