The workshop is one of the concluding events of the two-year eGovernet project at which the final project report is to be prepared and a recommendation on continuing the project in 2009/10 adopted. The eGovernet project is aimed at fostering research and development in respect of information and communication technologies in the context of cooperation between Governments which will gradually enable the creation of a common European vision of information society based on efficient and affordable services and benefiting EU citizens and businesses.
