More: | The talks at the meeting between the EU Troika and the Russian Federation will focus on the current development of cooperation between the EU and the Russian Federation, the main priorities of cooperation for 2008 and the implementation of four common spaces. The interlocutors will also discuss regional and international issues – Kosovo, the Middle East Peace Process, Moldova, i.e. the Transdniestrian issue, Sudan and Chad. EU cooperation with Russia is based on the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) that took effect on 1 December 1997 for a period of ten years and that may be prolonged. Slovenia will endeavour to start negotiations on a new PCA as soon as possible. |
