The High Level Group is an important informal body for discussion and exchange of information on good practices and experience at EU level. The Group’s activities are aimed at supporting and improving synergies between national gender equality policies and strategies for integrating the principle of gender equality. The Group’s key tasks include offering proactive support to the presiding Member State in identifying policy areas and subjects for discussion at the European Council. The Group meets twice a year in close cooperation with the Member State holding the Presidency.
