Dragutin Mate, Slovenian Minister of the Interior and President of the Justice and Home Affairs Council of the EU, will present the achievements of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council in the area of home affairs at the meeting of the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE Committee) on 26 June 2008.

In his report Minister Mate will focus on the dossiers that were either closed or almost closed during the Slovenian Presidency. He will thank the European Parliament for good cooperation on the dossiers that fall under the co-decision procedure.

The Slovenian Presidency concludes the Trio Presidency, which also included Germany and Portugal. Therefore, Minister Mate invited the German and Portuguese interior ministers, Wolfgang Schäuble and Rui Pereira, to attend the meeting. Together they will present the Trio's achievements.
