More: On the occasion of the European Consumer Day, 14 March 2008, a one-day conference will be held in Brussels. The conference will be dedicated to consumer redress in cross-border transactions. Effective consumer dispute resolution in cross-border transactions has an important impact on consumer confidence in the internal market. The conference will bring together numerous consumer experts from government as well as non-government sectors. Among the distinguished speakers, there will be also senior politicians, such as the European Commissioner for Consumer Protection, Meglena Kuneva. The conference is organised by the European Economic and Social Committee (ECOSOC).
