The Forest-based Technology Platform (FTP) is one of the first technological platforms established in Brussels and one of the most active in Slovenia and also within European FTPs. The Conference will articulate the EU vision up to the year 2030 in the area of sustainable use of forests for building purposes and manufacturing of wood products (furniture, design products, paper, biomass) and will discuss the importance of forests and woods in combating climate change. It is expected that the Conference will be attended by approximately 300 participants from all the EU Member States. The meeting will be attended by eminent experts from Europe and European Commissioners Dr Janez Potočnik, Günter Verheugen and Olli Rehn.
