The President of the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, will lead the EU Troika-India meeting in New Delhi on 30 May. The EU Troika with India meeting will also be attended by Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for External Relations Joao Aguiar Machado, French Minister of State responsible for foreign affairs and human rights Rama Yade, and Michael Swann from the Secretariat of the EU Council. The Indian delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

The meeting will review progress in the development of bilateral relations between the EU and India. The interlocutors will discuss preparations for the EU-India Summit and exchange views on key regional and global issues. The meeting will provide an opportunity to strengthen partnership between the EU and India.
