RSS Feeds

RSS is the abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication and describes XML-based technology that provides information in a machine-readable form. RSS enables you to subscribe only to specific website texts or multimedia files. The subscribed material can be loaded automatically via RSS on the user's computer or on the websites, supplying the subscriber automatically and comfortably with the latest information.

To subscribe to an RSS feed you need an RSS reader, several of which are available free on the Internet and can be configured individually.

The reader shows the title or, as another option, the first few lines of an article. An accompanying link is sent permitting the subscriber to open the entire article in the browser.

Mobile portal - www.eu2008.mobi

In order to broaden the accessibility of the Slovenian Presidency's website, a mobile portal has been established. Key information on the Slovenian Presidency website can thus be accessed from any location, using nothing more than a mobile phone.

On the mobile portal you can find the latest news and consult the meetings calendar. You can also follow live streams of press conferences of informal ministerial meetings and other high-level events in Slovenia on the screen of your mobile phone in real time. If you miss the live stream, look for the recording in the portal's video archive.

As on the website, all the information on the mobile portal is available in Slovene, English and French.

The mobile website can be found at www.eu2008.mobi.
