More: | The civil society plays and important role in linking the EU and its neighbourhood, improving ENP visibility and strengthening joint ownership awareness. Stronger civil society in ENP countries and countries of the Western Balkans is crucial also for their drawing closer to EU standards. The conference in Slovenia is one of the three conferences (Brussels, Ljubljana, Zadar) constituting a complete thematic whole. The Slovenian conference as the second and central event will focus on forming lasting partnership between civil society organisations, national authorities, EU institutions and international donors, putting an emphasis on the inclusion of the civil society in ENP formation processes and the implementation of external financial assistance, with the stress on active NGO inclusion in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the ENP. |
