The 2nd Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA) Meeting under Slovenian EU Presidency will be held from April 7-8. The Meeting will have three sessions: HMA - human medicines, HMA - veterinary medicines and HMA - joint session. HMA strive to promote and protect public and animal health by ensuring the access to medicinal products of a high standard of quality, safety and efficacy. It nowadays gathers 30 countries from the European Economic Area (EEA) and more than 40 regulatory Competent Authorities responsible for medicinal products for human and veterinary use. Representatives of the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) and representatives of European Commission (DG Industry and Enterprise) participate  the meetings and contribute the discussion and outcomes.

The group meets four times a year or twice in each presidency to provide a forum for the exchange of views and solving practical problems. The Meeting will be continuation of previous activities
