More: | The meeting between the European Commission and the ministers of the country holding the Presidency of the EU Council is traditional introduction to each Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Vice-President and members of the European Commission will meet Prime Minister and members of the Slovenian Government at Brdo pri Kranju on 8 January 2008. Vice-President Margot Wallström and other Commission members will visit Slovenia in order to get acquainted with the priority tasks of Slovenia’s EU Presidency and exchange opinions with the Slovenian Government on topical developments in the European Union, in order to achieve closer cooperation between Slovenia in its role of the EU Presidency country and the European Commission. The visit will commence with a meeting of Vice-President of the European Commission and Prime Minister of the Slovenian Government. This will be followed by discussions between Commission members and Slovenian ministers covering the individual areas. The central event will be a plenary session, attended by members of the Commission and the Slovenian Government. |
