The EU-Japan Symposium on Climate Change is intended for the general Slovenian professional, economic and scientific publics. Slovenia, as the country holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU, and Japan jointly wish to remind and inform the wider public of the problems related to climate change, the kind and types of measures adopted so far against climate change in the EU, in Japan and Slovenia, as well as of the perspectives which will appear in particular after 2012, when the Kyoto Protocol expires.
