More: | The high-level conference will be organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the Slovenian Presidency. The purpose will be to launch a European Pact for Mental Health, as a follow-up initiative to the consultation on the Commission's Green Paper on Improving the Mental health of the Population of 2005. The Pact would be an intersectoral, non-binding Declaration and would highlight the relevance of mental health for public health, learning, productivity and social cohesion in the EU. Furthermore, the Pact would express the willingness of high-level governmental and non-governmental actors in the EU to work together in addressing mental health issues, based on a set of agreed key principles for action, and to engage in a process of exchange and implementation. |
Mental health should be considered an integral part of all spheres of social life
