The main purpose of the European Diplomatic Programme (EDP) is to raise awareness among young diplomats from EU Member States, the European Commission and the EU Council Secretariat of the common interests and tasks of the EU as a whole in the field of foreign and security policy. The conclusion of the 8th EDP is planned to be dedicated to discussion on migration movements in the Mediterranean region and the Western Balkans, because the “brain drain” and “workforce drain” from that region into the European Union are important elements for the further development of the Western Balkan countries. Along with the conclusion of the 8th EDP, the meeting of Training Directors from EU Member States will also be held, at which the current education process will be evaluated and guidelines for the future adopted.
