Mojca Kucler Dolinar - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology

Mojca Kucler Dolinar was born on 26 August 1972 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. After the Secondary School for Economics she undertook the studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana. She graduated in 1997 and a year later she started to work for the Mostovna Company in the general personnel office. In 1999 she began to work as an independent legal counsellor for the Farmland and Forest Fund of the Republic of Slovenia.

Since 2004 she has been a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia where she was the chairperson of the Committee for Internal Politics, Public Administration and Justice. She was also member of the Committee for Health and the Commission for the Rules of Procedure. She is also active as a counsellor in the Town Council of Ljubljana.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia has appointed her member of the Slovenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. As chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee she often faced the necessity of coordination of various political as well as professional activities and opinions. By exercising the tasks demanding a high level of responsibility, she acquired precious international experience, especially at the level of the European Union. When meeting with the delegations from the foreign Parliaments as the official representative of the Republic of Slovenia, she successfully represented the interests of her country.

She is well acquainted with the mission and the tasks of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and has regularly participated in conferences organised by the British Council.

She speaks fluent English.
