The Meeting of Directors-General for Vocational Education and Training has become a traditional event over at least the last ten Presidencies. The agenda for the meeting of Directors General for VET is based on the basic eighteen-month trio Presidency programme and consultations between the Slovenian Presidency programme team and the European Commission.

With “creativity and innovation” as an overall priority of the Slovenian Presidency, the DGVT meeting will focus primarily on the outcomes, innovations and challenges of national VET reform with a view to improving the competitiveness of the national economy, on VET’s contribution to social inclusion, and on the challenges of globalisation for VET from the point of view of the social partners.
