On Thursday, 7 February 2008, the minister, responsible for local self-government and regional policy, Ivan Žagar, PhD, will address the Committee of the Regions plenary session and present the Slovenian EU Council presidency priorities.
Minister Ivan Žagar, PhD, will present the Slovenian EU Council presidency priorities to the participants of the Committee of the Regions plenary session. He will specify the events proposed by the Slovenian Government Office for Local Self-Government and Regional Policy in the framework of the Slovenian Presidency Programme related also to the activities of the Committee of the Regions (Lisbon Monitoring Platform), which, furthermore, enable dealing with various aspects of cohesion policy, mainly the role of local and regional communities in achieving the Lisbon strategy objectives.
Minister Ivan Žagar, PhD, will give a statement at 12.00 in the lobby of the Paul Henri SPAAK hall (European Parliament), Reu Wiertz 43, Brussels.
