Presentation of Slovenia at the Open Door Day of the European Institutions

The European institutions in Brussels will again open their doors to visitors and present their work, which is usually done more or less behind closed doors. This year, the "Open Door Day" will be on Saturday 7 June from 10.00 till 17.30, and the topic of the day will be intercultural dialogue. As the Member State holding the EU Council Presidency, Slovenia will also prepare a stand in the Justus Lipsius building of the Council of the EU.

The Slovenian stand will be open to the public in the atrium of the Justus Lipsius building, where it will offer a little something for every taste. In addition to information about the country, its government system, and natural and tourist attractions, a part of Slovenian folklore will also be presented. Visitors will be entertained by the group Mlada Beltinaka Banda, and Slovenian national dances will be performed by dancers from the cultural and arts society KUD Beltinci. Of course, the traditional Slovenian festive cake potica will also not be overlooked.

The Open Door Day is traditionally organised every spring. Each year, it attracts several thousand visitors, who in this way take a closer look at the areas of activity and methods of work of the EU institutions.
