On 28 and 29 May 2008, the 50th meeting of Directors-General in Charge of Public Administration of informal EUPAN network will be held at Brdo pri Kranju, organised by the Ministry of Public Administration within the Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council. The participants will present the results of the EUPAN working groups. The discussions will focus in particular on the necessary organisational changes of EUPAN in the light of the reformed Treaty of the European Union.
The European Public Administration Network (EUPAN) is an informal association of Directors General of public administrations in the EU Member States. A public discussion is being held within the EUPAN network – exchange of views, experience and good practice aimed at improving public services, competitiveness and quality of the central European public administrations. The two-day meeting will be attended by high representatives of the EU Member States, representatives of the European Commission and other participating organisations (with social partners TUNED and the EIPA institution). The results of the EUPAN working groups in the fields of human resources, social dialogue, better legislation, innovation, quality and e-governance will be presented at the meeting, and a special attention will be devoted to the discussion on the necessary organisational changes of EUPAN in the light of the reformed Treaty of the European Union.
50th meeting of Directors-General in Charge of Public Administration will be opened by the Chair of the informal EUPAN network during the Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council, State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration Mr Roman Rep, MSc.
During the event, a Press Conference will be organised on 29 May at 13.15
