The Slovenian Presidency will be committed to improving Community standards of food and feed safety and quality so as to maintain a high level of public and animal health, to provide for the protection of the environment, and to safeguard the interests of consumers by focusing on enhancing their trust.

The Presidency is aware of the fact that consumers need to be provided with all the requisite information on the characteristics, composition, keeping and use of certain products.
